Don’t assume they know, tell your best friends what they mean to you, that you wouldn’t be the same if they did not exist. Hug them tight, kiss them on the cheek and call them often, for no reason. You know for sure you matter to someone when they call you for no reason at all. Say ‘I love you’ every time before you say goodbye. And you if forget, call them back and say it, it’s something you’ll never regret.
If it were you to disappear, wouldn’t you hope it was the last thing you said?
